How long does it take to dispatch and deliver my order?

Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 24-48 business hours of confirmation. Shipments are typically delivered in 5-7 business days. Delivery time may vary depending upon the shipping address and other factors like public holidays, extreme weather conditions etc.

Are shipping charges applicable to my order?

We offer free shipping on all prepaid domestic orders above Rs.999/-. A nominal shipping fee applies below the threshold; Cash on Delivery (COD) orders may carry an additional COD handling fee.

What is 925 Sterling Silver?

925 Sterling Silver contains 92.5% pure silver, blended with 7.5% other metals to enhance its strength and durability for jewellery-making.

Why isn’t jewellery made from 100% pure silver?

Pure silver is naturally very soft and can bend, scratch or lose its shape easily. Combining it with a small percentage of other metals makes 925 Sterling Silver stronger and more suitable for creating durable, detailed jewellery.

Is Sterling Silver suitable for everyday wear?

Yes. Sterling Silver is valued for its balance of beauty, strength and wearability, making it well suited to everyday jewellery. As with all fine jewellery, mindful handling will help maintain its finish and detailing for longer.

What is gold-plated 925 Sterling Silver?

The gold-plated jewellery is crafted in genuine 925 Sterling Silver and finished with a fine layer of real gold. This offers the rich appearance of gold with the versatility and value of Sterling Silver.

How can I be assured of the purity of my jewellery?

Every AAKRITI by APB piece is crafted in 925 Sterling Silver and carries a 925 hallmark or authenticity mark. Selected products further have a BIS HUID Hallmark which can be verified at the official BIS app or website. 

Will my AAKRITI by APB jewellery fade or tarnish?

Gold plating may gradually fade with regular wear, while the Sterling Silver beneath can naturally tarnish over time. Longevity depends on usage and exposure to moisture, perfumes, lotions and chemicals. Proper care helps preserve its colour and shine. 

Can I wear my jewellery while bathing, swimming or exercising?

We recommend removing it before bathing, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Water, sweat, chlorine and personal-care products can accelerate tarnishing and wear down the gold finish.

How should I clean and store gold-plated silver jewellery?

After wearing, gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry cloth and store it separately in a dry, airtight pouch or box. Avoid abrasive cleaners, silver dips and vigorous polishing, as these may damage the gold plating.

Can I return or exchange my jewellery?

Eligible products may be returned and exchanged in accordance with our return policy. If your jewellery arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and our team will be happy to assist following verification and quality review. Once approved, you’ll receive store credit  to use toward a new order,  in accordance with our Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy. 

Can gold-plated jewellery be replated?

Yes. When the gold finish begins to fade through regular use, many pieces can be professionally replated to restore their appearance. Please contact our customer care team to confirm whether replating is available for your specific design.

Will perfumes and cosmetics affect my jewellery?

Perfumes, lotions, hairsprays and cosmetics may gradually dull the finish or shorten the life of the plating. Apply these products first, allow them to dry completely and wear your jewellery last.

How should I choose the correct jewellery size?

Please refer to the size guide provided on the relevant product page before placing your order. For rings, bracelets and necklaces, measure carefully and consider the design’s fit. Please contact our customer care team for assistance.

Can I wear different Sterling Silver pieces together?

Absolutely. Sterling Silver is versatile and can be layered or stacked across necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. When layering delicate pieces, take a little extra care to prevent chains from tangling or jewellery surfaces from rubbing excessively against one another.

What is Aakriti’s Lifetime Exchange Guarantee?

Aakriti’s Lifetime Exchange Guarantee allows you to exchange eligible jewellery with its base silver structure intact for store credit worth 25% of its original invoiced price, following a simple quality inspection and subject to our existing Lifetime Exchange Policy terms. The credit is valid for 12 months and can be used toward your next online purchase. It's our way of ensuring your Aakriti jewellery continues to hold value beyond the day you buy it.
